Complaints and Grievances Policy

This Guideline is intended to ensure that complaints are handled fairly, efficiently and effectively.

Behaviour Management Policy

The aim of this policy is to clearly outline the guidelines for student behaviour management at Canberra Christian School.

Recurrent Grant Distribution Policy

To provide clear guidelines on the method of distributing the commonwealth recurrent grants as we are an approved system authority from 1 January 2014 onwards.

Enrolment Policy and Guidelines

All enrolment applications will be processed in
order of receipt and consideration will be given to the applicant’s support for the ethos of the school, siblings already attending the school and other criteria determined by the school as outlined in this document.

Child Safe Standards

Seventh-day Adventist Schools NSW/ACT have made child safety a priority in its response to the new Child Safe Standards.

Student Code of Conduct

This Student Code of Conduct has been developed to clearly set out standards of behaviour with which students are expected to abide.

Responding to and Reporting Child Safety Incidents or Concerns

Child safety incidents or concerns can take many forms. Unfortunately, the nature of child abuse, neglect and other harm is complex.

Abuse, neglect or other harm may occur over time and potential indicators of abuse, neglect or other harm are often difficult to detect.

Professional Boundaries of Staff

Staff hold a unique position of influence, authority, trust and power in relation to students at the School. As such, it is their duty, at all times, to maintain professional boundaries with students.

Child Protection Policy

All children have a right to feel and be emotionally and physically safe. The safety, protection and well-being of all students is of fundamental importance to the school.

Child Safe Policy

Our Child Safe Policy was written to demonstrate the strong commitment of the School to child safety, and to provide an outline of the policies and practices that we have developed to
keep our students safe, including from abuse, neglect or other harm.

Child Safe Complaints Management

A complaint is an expression of dissatisfaction with an action taken, decision made, or service provided, or with the failure to provide a service, take action or make a decision at the School.

Adult Code of Conduct

The Child Safe Adult Code of Conduct outlines appropriate standards of behaviour towards students for all adults in the School environment. The Code serves to protect students, reduce any opportunities for abuse or harm to occur, and promote child safety in the School environment.
